1. There is no pub, club or restaurant you can't get into (even after 6pm) with just a plain ol' pair of pluggers
2. Locals looking bewildered when they see an asian guy (yours truly) speak and sounding exactly like they do.
3. Having to look out for trains when driving through town due to the lack of warning signs and the fact that a train line runs in the middle of one of the main streets.
4. Everything is shut by 5pm (or earlier) and nothing, NOTHING is open on Sundays. So no late night coffees, teas, anything.
And finally.....
5. The sound of sprinklers coming on in the morning, clean looking cars and the sight of people watering their gardens cos there is NO WATER RESTRICTIONS like there are in Brisbane! Yeeeooow!!!

Rocking The Hamptons
Arrived in Rockhampton yesterday morning. Looks like it's gonna be a very interesting year, it's definitely gonna be different to 2006, that's for sure. I was sad to pack up and leave The Village in West End cos I had some of the best times of my life there, but I guess I'm gonna just hafta strive harder to make '07 better than last year. It always seem like such an impossible task in the beginning, but I'm getting a slight sense of deja vu cos this was exactly how I felt heading into '06 after an amazing '05. Anyway, I'm not gonna bore you guys anymore with Philosophical Will.
Went into town yesterday arvie to do some groceries and have a look around. Bought myself lots of food, but forgot all the other essentials like shampoo, deoderant, toilet paper, etc. So looks like someone is heading back to the shops again.
Had "Beef & Reef" (steak & prawns) for dinner last night at The Criterion Hotel, which Kev had recommended, with all the other Rocky arrivals. Good food in a nice casual setting and casual is what I'm all about. It's just one more thing about the country lifestyle that suits me just fine.

Welcome to the product of my procrastination
Yep, I'm back blogging again. Lets see how long it lasts this time around. As some of you know, I had a xanga blog a few years ago which I gave up on only after a few months. So what's motivating me to start blogging again? I hear you all ask..... Well, I'm meant to be packing up my room/apartment ready to move to Rockhampton in about a week (MEANT TO being the operative term), but seeing as I really can't be bothered right now, I thought I would be of amusement to others (and myself) by setting up a new blog! Yay for world!!!
I really should've given this idea more thought before I embarked on creating this new blog cos it's taken me about 15mins to write up to here and I blame it on my holiday brain. It hasn't been flogged for over a month now, so I don't even know if it remembers how it was like to work. Add to that all the alcohol & fun stuff it's been swimming in over the same period and enough said.
Okay, that's enought from me for now. This thinking and typing thing is getting too much for me. I think I should've stuck to the boredom of packing things into boxes and saved myself a headache!
Btw, in case you are wondering, it's will-doe (like a female deer) with a silent x and it's not pronounced as it is spelt. It's a nickname the boys in med have given me over the last 2 years and I'm using it cos my other nickname "Willio" is taken. Plus, I think it's time for a bit of a change anyway.
